What We’re Reading: Create & Orchestrate

At Fortiviti, we make professional development a priority. Each month, we read a book as a team, typically focused on professional development – such as time management, problem-solving, and best practices – or personal growth areas like building positive habits, transforming obstacles into opportunities, and shifting mindsets.

This month’s pick was Create & Orchestrate by Marcus Whitney, a fascinating read that guides entrepreneurs through the intricacies of building and sustaining a business. Whitney’s journey is one of resilience and creativity, two qualities that we as a company value greatly as we navigate the complexities of business finance with our clients.

Key Takeaways from Create & Orchestrate

One of the most impactful messages in Create & Orchestrate is the importance of aligning purpose with action.

The cover of Marcus Whitney's book: Create & Orchestrate.

At Fortiviti, we aim to do more than just manage finances; we partner with business owners to help them realize their vision. Just as Whitney encourages readers to orchestrate every aspect of their business, we work with our clients to ensure their financial strategies are aligned with their goals. Whitney also emphasizes adaptability, a trait critical to any business. Whether it’s finding creative solutions to complex accounting needs or adapting to new financial regulations, we are dedicated to supporting our clients in an ever-evolving business landscape.

The book also included a section that detailed all aspects of venture capital. With Whitney’s experience with venture capital, both as an investor and as an owner looking for investment, he was able to clearly define the inner workings of venture capital and help our team to get an inside look into how it works. We often work with our clients to secure investment, so gaining a deeper understanding from the perspective of one of those investors was very valuable for our team!

Stay tuned next month for our next read and join us on this journey of continual learning and growth!
