There is a new scam going on regarding utility companies. We recently had this happen with a client. A utility company called and stated that they were with the electric company and because of a past due balance, they would be disconnecting service unless payment was made immediately. If you receive a call like this, please do NOT give the caller any business or payment information. Hang up, review your payment history, and call the utility company directly (HINT: Your Fortiviti team would handle this for you).
