Controller
Meley King
Meley graduated from the University of Kansas and began working in the Accounting Department of an advertising firm. After a few years, she pursued her MBA at Baker University. During the program, she transitioned to the healthcare staffing industry. Over 15 years, she gained expertise in accounting and HR management as it was an essential part of her Controller role. Her training encompassed employee relations, benefit administration, performance management, and policy writing.
Since 2017, Meley has been actively involved in both of her daughter’s Girl Scout troops. She initially served as a Cookie Mom, managing the logistics of the annual cookie sale. Her home is filled with cookies every February, ready to be sorted and distributed to each Girl Scout. Inspired by the experience, Meley took her involvement a step further and became a full troop leader for her youngest troop. As a troop leader, Meley plays a crucial role in guiding the girls, helping them develop new skills, and fostering their growth. Through her leadership, Meley and her troop create lasting memories and shape the future for themselves and others.
Meley enjoys spending her free time with her husband Tom and two daughters, Lily and Samantha. The family loves spending time attempting to play catch with their rescue dog, Carl, but usually ends up in a game of keep away. The whole family loves camping and every year attends a blue grass festival in Winfield, KS.
