VP of Operations
Elise Houtz
Elise attended Kansas State University and obtained her degree in Accounting, with a minor in Communication Studies. She believed that having a background in communications would benefit her in dealing with future clients, as it allowed her to approach challenges from both an analytical and creative perspective. While working at her first accounting job on the Plaza in Kansas City, she continued her education at UMKC and earned her MBA. In Elise's own words, "I am just a nerd for accounting." Her passion is fueled by the desire to assist small business owners in solving complex issues and helping them thrive in their industry.
Throughout her career, Elise has been involved in various implementation and process flow efficiency review teams. Her most significant project involved assisting in the development of new software with a user-interface component that integrated with Microsoft. Her keen eye for analyzing proficiency and identifying bottlenecks has proven to be valuable.
Elise is one of 3 siblings, she has a twin sister, as well as a younger sister. During her time at K-State, Elise was a member of the golf team, which concluded her 15-year career as a serious golfer. A lot of her other hobbies include being outdoors like hiking, biking, and playing outdoor sports. She doesn't consider mowing, watering, and weeding as chores, but rather as typical weekend activities. Elise may be a numbers gal, but she also has an artistic side. She really enjoys painting and creating works of art for her home.
