Giving Back to Our Furry Friends

For the next two weeks, Fortiviti is going to be giving back to the homeless pets of Kansas City. Great Plains SPCA, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides lifesaving services for animals that can only be provided because of the generosity of donors. Their mission is to offer a lifelong, full-circle approach for pets and their human companions with a three-pronged approach: prevention, adoption, retention. We are partnering with our friends at Sydney’s Pet Spa to help collect items needed at the shelters and foster homes. Sydney’s, an all-inclusive pet services facility located in Leawood, has long supported the Great Plains SPCA by providing grooming and fostering services to the animals in need.

We will be collecting items from their wish list until February 27th. Some of the high priority wish list items include: canned kitten and cat food, basic clay litter, peanut butter, laundry detergent, paper towels, hand sanitizer, trash bags and gift cards to Home Depot, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart. However, they are always looking for towels and blankets too. You may have these in your closet at home right now. That towel that is a little worn or the blanket you never use could be put to great use at the shelter.

As a thank you for donating, we will trade you for a bag of delicious homemade dog treats when you drop off items at our location. Can’t make it to our office? Just send us an email and we will come to you on February 27th to pick up the items.
